The wines

Every cuvée comes from the same place: twelve hectares in a single block on the flank of the Baumes volcano, certified organic since 2011.

Dolce Farniente

Rosé

Grenache and Syrah give this lively rosé, a happy success year after year. Fresh fruit on the nose, open and direct. On the palate it is bright and fresh, with a good balance.

Drink it young, straight away. By the end of summer there is none left in the cellar anyway.

Les Hautes Lumières

White

Two grapes, two treatments. Marsanne vinified in tank brings the fresh fruit and vineyard peach, Roussanne aged in barrel brings the honeyed, riper notes. Blended, they give this luminous cuvée.

Its brightness, structure and elegance let it age happily for three years.

Petits Bonheurs

Red

A crunchy red, a tasty blend of Syrah and Grenache co-fermented together. Very young and already generous.

No reason to let this one sleep in the cellar. Open it with simple, flavourful food: it is good now, so why wait.

Tribu du Volcan

Red

The cuvée the estate is already proudest of. A blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre, two thirds raised in tank and the rest in once-used barrels.

There is a lot of elegance here: dark fruit on the nose with peppery notes. On the palate the Syrah leads, with violet and a real minerality. The tannins are settled and carry a remarkable length.

La Belle Histoire

Red 2020

The estate’s finest parcel of Syrah, aged ten months in new barrels. This is Allegria’s grand vin, the one they put the best of themselves into.

The best pairings are the simplest ones. Ten years of cellaring in the strongest vintages.

Cousu Main

Red

This cuvée exists only in magnums and double magnums. Every year the wine is made anew: a few barrels are chosen for their ageing potential, and nothing else goes in.

The magnum is what makes this wine. It is the right bottle for a few years of rest in the cellar.
